With LINE, you can make phone calls and send text messages to any friend using the app at absolutely no cost. Besides voice calls and messages, the application allows you to make video calls to any mobile using Android, iOS, Blackberry, or Windows, and even to other PCs and Macs.
The desktop version of the app looks simple and resembles its mobile counterpart. Just like in the mobile app, you can create chat groups, add friends to your favorites list or block undesired contacts. It is possible to attach pictures, files, and location info to your messages, as well as express yourself and have fun using the numerous emoticons, emojis, and stickers available. One of the most outstanding features of LINE is video calls; during my test this feature worked great, calls were stable and with great video and audio quality- of course, this ultimately depends on your Internet connection. You can also use the app to send short video and voice messages to your friends.
Signing in to the Windows application is simple enough; you only need to register your email address in your smartphone; alternatively, you can use the QR Code. All your contacts, chats, and groups are saved in the app's servers so they will be available at any time in both versions. Also, from the Settings dialog you can configure the way LINE notifies you about messages and calls received, as well as other adjustments.
In short, LINE for PC is a messaging app that , unlike WhatsApp, lets you make free voice calls and offers some other impressive features. LINE works on all versions of Windows starting from XP, and there is also a version for Mac.
